Activity and Comments
Track document history and collaborate with your team through inline comments and issue marking.
Activity Tracking
The Documents app automatically tracks changes to your documents:
Activity Types
| Event | Description |
|---|---|
| Created | Document was initially created |
| Updated | Content was modified |
| Renamed | Document name changed |
| Moved | Document relocated to different folder |
| Version Saved | New version was published |
| Access Updated | Permissions were modified |
| Duplicated | Document was duplicated |
| Variant Created | Variant was created from this document |
Where Activity Surfaces
There is no document-level activity feed inside the right panel. Tracked changes surface through the workspace's notification center and your personal activity feed. To review a document's version history, use the History tab in the right panel; per-issue discussion history appears inside each issue card's comment thread (see below).
Inline Issue Marking
The Documents app integrates deeply with Issues, allowing you to mark text directly in your documents as comments, tasks, or risks.

Creating Issue Marks
- Select text in the document
- Use the formatting toolbar buttons that appear:
- Comment button (speech bubble) - Create a comment
- Task button (checkbox) - Create a task
- Risk button (warning) - Create a risk
- Fill in the issue details in the panel
- Click Create
Alternatively, select text and right-click to access the context menu with issue marking options.
The selected text is highlighted with a color indicating the issue type:
| Type | Color | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Comment | Yellow | Annotations, notes, questions |
| Task | Blue | Action items that need to be completed |
| Risk | Red | Potential issues or concerns |
